Work Permit Extended 1 More Year

1 Who Is Eligible?

Foreign workers in Thailand under the Cabinet Resolution of 11 November 2025 (nationalities: Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam) are entitled to extend both their work period and their stay in the Kingdom for 1 additional year.

2 How Long Is the Extension?

• Work permit extended by 1 year — until 11 December 2027
• Calculated from the original expiry date of the work permit
• No exit from Thailand required

3 Application Window & Fee

• Application period: 8 September – 11 December 2026 (by 16:30)
• Only via: https://eworkpermit.doe.go.th/
• Total fee: 1,000 THB (work permit renewal + application fee)

4 Required Documents (Preliminary)

• 📘 Passport — if available
• 🛂 Current Visa — if available
• 📋 Work Permit Card (WP Card)
• 🏥 Health Examination Certificate — 6-disease screening per Ministry of Interior notification
• 🪪 Identity Storage Card (Biometrics / CI)
• 🧾 Receipt

✅ Workers with or without a passport may apply — CI (identity storage card) is accepted in place of a passport.

5 Process Steps

1. Submit work permit renewal application via the e-WorkPermit system — officer reviews and approves.
2. Complete Visa endorsement — book appointment, undergo visa stamping process, have passport stamped.
3. Report place of residence — notify Immigration within 24 hours of moving in.
